Itinerary

Your 9-night, 10-day Kerala with Ooty Tour Packages will begin at the Bangalore Airport with warm greetings by our representative who will escort you to Mysore, the cultural capital of India’s southwestern Karnataka state. After reaching Mysore, check in at the hotel and hop on the bed for a good night's sleep.

Wake up and have breakfast. Afterward, get ready for an enthralling sightseeing tour of the city. Popularly called the ‘City of Palaces’, Mysore was once the center of power of the Wodeyars for over 500 years and is renowned for its rich heritage, sprawling gardens, and tree-lined boulevards. The city is home to the world-famous Mysore Palace, Mysore Pak (a sweet), and the happening Dasara Festival. Explore the grandeur and glory of the spectacular Mysore Palace, replete with exquisite interiors, Indo-Saracenic-style architecture, and 97,000 lights that are illuminated at dusk on Sundays and public holidays. It is the official residence of the Wodeyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore. Later, move to Brindavan Gardens, which is world-famous for its ethereal beauty, grandeur, and musical fountains; Jayalakshmi Vilas Mansion and the Folklore Museum inside it which is a brilliant repository of folk culture. The afternoon will be filled with visits to other tourist attractions in the city, like the Jaganmohan Palace, Lalit Mahal Palace, Mysore Zoo, and Chamundeshwari Temple. You’ll be transferred to Ooty by the evening. Following your arrival in Ooty, get done with the check-in process and rest for the night.

The third day of your Kerala with Ooty Tour Packages awaits a mesmerizing tour of Ooty. Nestled on the slopes of Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu, this former summer resort of the British Raj is one of the most beautiful hill stations in India. With its mystic charm, lush greenery, cascading waterfalls, and a cool and soothing climate that beckons thousands of travelers across the globe, Ooty is rightfully given the epithet “Queen of Hill Stations” in India. Your Ooty tour will cover the following places: Government Botanical Garden, which exhibits exotic varieties of eye-pleasing floral and plant species and houses the Rose Garden, where you can find more than 300 varieties of roses; the Pine Tree Forest, a grove of orderly-growing pine trees that are several hundreds of years old; Deer Park; and St. Stephen’s Church. Later, visit the Ooty Lake, also called the Ooty Boat House (an artificially constructed lake). Here you can indulge in a number of fun activities such as cycling around the lake and boating. Then move to Doddabetta Peak, which is the highest peak in Tamil Nadu. You have to climb up a long trail of 3 km to reach the place. Doddabetta offers an awe-inspiring bird's-eye view of Ooty against the backdrop of the rolling Nilgiri hills. Finish the day with a visit to the picture-perfect Avalanche Lake, a crystal-blue freshwater body (open for fishing after monsoons). Return to the hotel and have a sweet slumber.

After breakfast, check out of your Ooty hotel and move to Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal is a hill town in Tamil Nadu. It’s set in an area of granite cliffs, forested valleys, lakes, waterfalls, and grassy hills. En route, visit the Palani Temples. Once you reach Kodaikanal, check in at your hotel room and you are free for the evening. Have dinner and rest for the night.

On the 5th day of your Kerala with Ooty Tour Packages, embark on a journey to explore the various attractions of the scenic city of Kodaikanal. After breakfast, you’ll be taken to the Kodaikanal Lake, also known as Kodai Lake, which is a man-made lake in a star-like shape and bordered by an evergreen forest. You can hire rowing boats here. The next stop is the Guna Caves (The Devil’s Kitchen), a place of mystery bewildering its visitors with unique rock formations and winding passages. The caves rest in an area covered with Shola trees and grass. Entry into the caves is prohibited due to safety reasons, but you can take a look into the deep caves through the iron bars. The Pillar Rocks, a set of three massive granite rock pillars surrounding the Guna Caves, are yet another tourist attraction site. The afternoon awaits you for the exploration of other attractions in the town, including Bear Shola Falls, Bryant Park, Coakers Walk, Thalaiyar Falls (the highest waterfall in Tamil Nadu), and Silver Cascade Falls. Enjoy the evening by witnessing the exhilarating beauty of this picturesque town while taking a ride back to the hotel. Sleep tight at the hotel.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to another scenic hill station located in Kerala, Munnar. It is one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in Kerala, as it offers its visitors the mesmerizing beauty of the swaying hills dotted with tea plantations, an array of resorts, pretty towns, and holiday amenities. Once at your destination, check into your pre-booked hotel. Have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

Post breakfast, get ready, and proceed to explore the local sites in and around this enchanting hill station. Visit Mattupetty, which is known for its storage masonry dam and the beautiful lake. Indulge in a pleasurable boat ride on the lake and enjoy the surrounding landscape and hills' view. Then visit Echo Point, Tata Tea Plantation, Munnar Tea Museum, and Eravikulam National Park, which is home to the endangered mountain goat, Nilgiri Tahr, the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails, the 2,695-metre-tall Anamudi Peak, and the Neelakurinji flower, which bathes the hills in blue once every twelve years. Later in the evening, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Proceed to Alleppey after breakfast by checking out of the hotel. Alleppey is well-known for its opulent houseboat rides through the unspoiled backwaters of Kerala. Enjoy an overnight backwaters cruise in Alleppey and make the eighth day of your Kerala vacation with Ooty Tour Packages unforgettable. Take in the splendor of the natural surroundings and observe the colorful avifauna, while cruising Alleppey's serene backwaters for the remainder of the day. Later on, indulge in authentic Keralan cuisine, featuring a rich blend of spices, fragrant curry leaves, and fresh coconut, prepared by the onboard chef. Overnight stay on the houseboat.

Finish disembarking from your houseboat on time, this morning and prepare to visit Kumarakom, which is situated on the shores of Lake Vembanad. Explore the tranquility, lush vegetation, and splendor of the waterways that comprise this tiny community nestled in the core of Kerala's backwaters. It is well known for its relaxed environment and houseboat excursions. Relax at the resort that has been reserved in advance of your visit. Take a sightseeing tour of the region later on and make sure to check out the main attractions here, such as the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary (a haven for bird-watching enthusiasts), the Bay Island Driftwood Museum, and the Pathiramanal Island, which is a popular site for spotting rare migratory birds. End this beautiful day by indulging in a cruise on Vembanad Lake (dinner and sleeping arrangements are included).

The 9-night, 10-day tour of Kerala with Ooty Tour Packages concludes today. Check out of the resort following breakfast and be dropped off at the Cochin International Airport, from where you can start your return journey.
