Enjoy your morning breakfast today as the Deccan Odyssey reaches the first destination of your Deccan Odyssey Luxury Train Tour, which is Bijapur. Bijapur is the significant capital of the Sultans of Deccan. Founded in the 10th and 11th centuries by the Kalyani Chalukyas, Bijapur has a rich history of being captured by various conquerors and invaders. It emerged as a prominent city under the rule of the Adil Shahi dynasty in the 16th and 17th centuries, becoming a hub for scholars, artists, and Sufi saints. After lunch, visit the Gol Gumbaz, the second-largest tomb in the world, followed by the Jumma Masjid and the Malik-e-Maidan. Lunch and dinner will be provided on board. Spend the night on the Deccan Odyssey.

Rise early, enjoy a splendid breakfast, and set out to explore the ancient wonders of Aihole and Pattadakal. Aihole, known as the 'cradle of Indian architecture,' boasts over 70 experimental rock-cut temples, each a unique marvel. At Pattadakal, witness the seamless blend of South Indian and North Indian architectural styles. After a delicious onboard lunch, opt for a tour of the weaving village of Guledgud to witness hand and power loom weaving. You may also visit Badami's sculptured temples and rock-cut caves. Conclude the day with a delightful dinner onboard as the train heads to Hampi.

Today's off-train excursion takes you to the iconic ‘City of Victory’ - Hampi, a World Heritage Site known for its splendid architecture and historical significance. Explore the Narasimha statue and the mustard Ganesh before visiting the renowned Vittala temple. After lunch, continue your exploration at the Royal Center in Hampi, home to various courtly and military structures. Following a full day of discovery, return to Hospet station and board the Deccan Odyssey for your onward journey to Hyderabad. Enjoy your dinner on board and spend the night on the train.

On the fifth day of the Deccan Odyssey Luxury Indian Train Tour, the Deccan Odyssey will arrive in Hyderabad, the majestic city of the Nizams. According to legend, the city was originally named after Bhagmati, the Hindu wife of Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah. She later embraced Islam and changed her name to Hyder Mahal, thus giving the city its current name. You can start the day with a delightful breakfast and then choose to visit Golconda, a magnificent symbol of Nizami culture. Another option is to join a shopping tour and savor the famous Hyderabadi Biryani for lunch. Visit Falaknuma Palace for high tea and explore the charming old city area of Charminar. Afterward, return to the Deccan Odyssey for dinner as the journey continues to Aurangabad.

Aurangabad, which derives its name from the last Great Mughal Aurangzeb, is a bustling industrial town in Maharashtra and serves as the gateway to the extraordinary Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city houses some remarkable landmarks such as the Daulatabad Fort, Bibi-ka-Makbara, and the city's 52 gates. Upon arrival, a picturesque drive will take you to the Ellora Caves, which house 34 rock-cut shrines showcasing Buddhist, Jain, and Hindu art dating back to the 4th to 5th century AD. The Kailash temple, an impressive example of rock-cut architecture, is a replica of Shiva's celestial abode on Mt. Kailash. After a day of exploration, relax with cocktails prepared by our onboard bartender and savor a delightful dinner as the train proceeds to Jalgaon for a visit to the Ajanta Caves.

The Deccan Odyssey is set to arrive at Jalgaon station this morning. After a delightful breakfast onboard, you will embark on a journey to the Ajanta Caves, an architectural marvel not to be missed.
