The exciting 6-night, 7-day Golden Triangle Tour with Amritsar will commence in Delhi. You'll be received at the Delhi Airport with a warm welcome by an India Wonderland representative. You'll then be escorted to the hotel for check-in. Relax for a while, then head out for a sightseeing tour of the capital city of India. On the first day of your Golden Triangle Tour with Amritsar, visit the India Gate, a war memorial built in memory of the Indian soldiers who martyred themselves during the Great War. Then proceed to see the Raj Ghat; Laxmi Narayan Temple; the old and new Parliament House; President House; the National Museum; and Chandi Chowk, which is the major thoroughfare in Old Delhi. If you'd like, you can take a trip on a rickshaw (a traditional cycle) here. Then, in the evening, embrace the stunning light and sound show at the red sandstone structure, the Red Fort, which was the residence of Mughal emperors for nearly 200 years. After dinner, rest for the night at your hotel.
Have a sumptuous breakfast and proceed to explore the Qutub Minar complex, Lotus Temple, and Humayun's Tomb, the tomb of the second emperor of the Mughal dynasty, Humayun. Post lunch, you'll be taken to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, popularly called the Pink City for its trademark building color. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Have dinner and cap off the day with a tight sleep.
On the third day of your 6-night, 7-day Golden Triangle Tour with Amritsar, you’ll embark on a sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Proceed to explore the grand Amer Fort, situated atop a hill, right after breakfast and take an elephant ride to the entrance of the Amer Fort. Afterward, visit other attractions of the city like the City Palace; then the Jal Mahal, a small palace set in the middle of Man Sagar Lake; Hawa Mahal, also called the Palace of Winds; and Jantar Mantar, the largest observatory in India; and the local bazaars for handicraft shopping. Feast on a special Rajasthani thali for dinner and return to the hotel for a restful night.
After breakfast, you will leave for Agra. En route Fatehpur Sikri, an abandoned city established by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the sixteenth century. Check in at the hotel after arriving in Agra and get yourself ready for the sightseeing of the city’s architectural gems. In Agra, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 16th-century Agra Fort, also called the "Lal-Qila," which is home to several magnificent buildings. Then you’ll visit Itimad-ud-Daulah's tomb, known as the "Baby Taj Mahal'' due to its resemblance to the Taj Mahal's minars (towers). In the evening, enjoy shopping at the local markets and have dinner at a famous Mughlai restaurant. Head back to the hotel and stay overnight.
In the morning, you'll visit the majestic Taj Mahal, made of white marble, which is a brilliant work of art and a symbol of eternal love, to witness a breathtaking sunrise view. The hue of the sunlight reflecting on the pristine white marble of this wonder is a sight to behold. Check out of the hotel after breakfast, and our driver will bring you back to Delhi so you can catch the evening train to Amritsar. Once in Amritsar, check into the hotel. Spend the evening sleeping at your hotel after dinner.
On the sixth day of your 6-night, 7-day Golden Triangle Tour with Amritsar, you’ll proceed for local sightseeing of Amritsar city after breakfast. You’ll first visit the Golden Temple. Golden Temple, originally Sri Harmindar Sahib, is one of the most sacred pilgrim spots for the Sikhs. The temple is famous for its dome, which is made entirely of gold by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Adorned with intricate designs and gold plating, this temple is an excellent example of Hindu and Islamic architecture. The temple is surrounded by a sacred pond, Amrit Sarovar. This Gurudwara hosts the largest langar (a community kitchen) every day and serves thousands of people of all religions, castes, and creeds. The Golden Temple is surrounded by some other famous temples, like the Durgiana Temple. Later in the afternoon, you’ll visit the Jallian Wala Bagh. The memorial at this site honors the two thousand Indians who were shot randomly and fatally on April 13, 1919, during a nonviolent public gathering by the British. The Martyr's Gallery at the location tells the tale of this gripping massacre. Then visit the Wagah Border, the international border between India and Pakistan. In the evening, witness the "Beating the Retreat" ceremony, the daily highlight of this place, when soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill. This military practice has been jointly followed since 1959 by the security forces of India (the Border Security Force) and Pakistan (the Pakistan Rangers). After dinner, rest for the night at your hotel.
