Rajasthan is best known as the “Land of Kings” or “Land of Kingdoms”. Located in the northwest part of the country, it is India’s largest state by area. With “Padharo Mhare Des” (meaning “Welcome to My Land”) as the state slogan, Rajasthan is widely known for its cultural diversity and warm hospitality. Almost all of the cities of the state are dispersed throughout with forts and fortresses, temples, and the relics of the Indus Valley Civilization, making it a site of rich history and heritage.

The state of Rajasthan is an amalgamation of folk dance and music, gigantic forts and palaces, spicy food, colorful and large turbans, an extensive golden sand desert, camels, and rich handicrafts. Sprawling over an area of 342239 sq km, Rajasthan is an ideal destination for adventure seekers, wildlife enthusiasts, history fans, culture vultures, honeymooners, and more.

The royal legacy and melange of culture have apparent influences on the architectural splendor of the state and its delectable cuisine. Its capital city, Jaipur, is a reflection of the state with its abundance of lakes, monuments, impressive forts, and palaces like the Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, and Amer Fort, as well as other architectural wonders like the captivating Chokhi Dhani. Another approach to taking in the rustic splendor of the royal state is to take a village tour. The aroma of cultural opulence penetrates even the air of an elegant state. Not only does the city boast excellent architecture, but world-famous cities like Jaisalmer and Jodhpur also feature cutting-edge artifacts.

Rajasthan is home to some of the most famous and most visited forts, such as the Chittorgarh, Mehrangarh, Jaisalmer, Jaigarh, and Junagadh Forts. The state is a hub for culture aficionados as it hosts some fairs and festivals around the year, among which the Desert Festival, Bikaner Camel Festival, Nagaur Fair, Pushkar Fair, Elephant Festival, Mewar Festival, Mount Abu Winter Festival, Gangaur Festival, and Teej are a few popular mentions.

Rajasthan is well known for its wildlife tourism. Wildlife enthusiasts can have exhilarating bird-watching and tiger sighting experiences in some of the well-known national parks and wildlife sanctuaries of the state, including Mukundra Hills National Park, Sariska National Park, Keoladeo National Park (Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Ranthambore National Park. It is endowed with a wide range of animal and bird species, as well as vegetation. The best places to see Rajasthan's wildlife are Sariska National Park and Ranthambore National Park, where you may see the Royal Bengal Tigers.

The state also offers many adventurous sports and activities for its visitors to explore. You can enjoy zorbing and cycling in Jaipur. In Pushkar, you can enjoy hot-air balloon rides, quad biking, and camel safaris. And of course, with Rajasthan being home to the great sand dunes of the Thar desert, you can enjoy camel rides. To get a bird's-eye view of the forts and deserts, you can indulge in parasailing.

Apart from its array of tourist destinations and adventurous extravaganza, Rajasthan is also home to luxury hotels, handicrafts, jewelry pieces, paintings, spiritual temples, and, of course, the famous Daal Bati Churma.

DAY 2: Jaipur Sightseeing

Popularly known as ‘Pink City’, Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan. Jaipur is well-known for its magnificent palaces and forts. This royal town, the country's first planned city, boasts stunning architecture. Pink City gets its name from the pink-painted sandstone used in its buildings. It welcomes visitors from all over the world with its amazing attractions located around the city. Jaipur's rich cultural legacy is evident in the city's traditions, customs, artwork, and architecture.

Shortly after breakfast, you will start your journey towards the Amber Fort, built in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh, a famous monument in Jaipur located atop the craggy hills of the Aravalli Range. Enjoy an elephant ride from the foot of the hills to the entrance of the fort. Then you will visit the Jaigarh Fort. Explore the city's other attractions after lunch, such as the well-known City Palace, one of the most significant architectural icons in Jaipur, with a tasteful fusion of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture; and the Albert Hall and Museum, created in the Indo-Saracenic pattern; the museum now serves as home to the Museum of Art and Antiquities; Hawa Mahal, popularly called the 'Palace of Winds' is a uniquely built 5-story structure of pink sandstone with 953 overhanging lattice windows. It also served as a place where the ladies of the royal household could enjoy street scenes and royal processions without being seen.

In the evening, go to Jal Mahal, a palace set in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, and Jantar Mantar, India’s largest astronomical observatory. Enjoy dinner around a bonfire while enjoying a splendid performance of the famous Rajasthani folk dance Ghumar, accompanied by mystical folk music. Spend the rest of the night sleeping at your hotel.

Day 3: Jaipur-Jodhpur

On the third day of your Rajasthan Holiday Tour packages, have an early morning breakfast and head towards Jodhpur. Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan after Jaipur and is popular by the name of ‘Blue City’ due to its structures painted in iconic shades of blue. The old capital of the state of Manwar, Mandore, is said to have been replaced by the city. Hence, the people of Jodhpur and surrounding areas are commonly known as Marwaris. The city is a perfect blend of modernity and tradition.

After arriving in Jodhpur, check in to the hotel and then proceed with the local sightseeing of the city. In Jodhpur, explore the famous Mehrangarh Fort. This 15th-century fort is set on a rocky outcrop and overlooks the walled city. It is a former palace converted into a museum, displaying weapons, paintings, and elaborate royal palanquins (sedan chairs). The Mehrangarh Fort's second gate still displays the scars from cannonball strikes by the Jaipur army. Then visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace, an architectural marvel built between 1929 and 1943 under the patronage of Maharaja Umaid Singh. Once the residence of the former royal family of Jodhpur, a major portion of the palace is now converted into a luxurious hotel for its visitors; Jaswant Thada, often described as the “Taj Mahal of Marwar," this beautiful marble structure was built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh Il of Jodhpur; and Ghanta Ghar, a magnificent clock tower in the center of the city, built by Maharaja Sardar Singh about 200 years ago.

In the evening, go on a shopping spree at the local markets in the city and shop for antiques and handicrafts. Head back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 4: Jodhpur-Udaipur and Udaipur Sightseeing

Shortly after breakfast, proceed towards Udaipur. Being home to some of the most exotic and beautiful lakes and palaces in India, Udaipur is rightly given the epithet ‘Venice of the East’. It is also one of the top wedding destinations in India. After arriving in Udaipur, check in to your hotel, freshen up, and proceed for the Udaipur city tour.

You will begin your tour of Udaipur by visiting Saheliyon ki Baari, also known as the Garden of the Maidens, a garden designed specifically for the royal women by Maharana Sangram Singh II. There are lotus pools, mountains, marble elephants, and kiosks at the location in addition to a museum. You will next visit the Jagdish Temple before continuing to the City Palace complex. Other attractions inside the palace complex include the "MorChowk," which is well-known for its exquisite glass peacock mosaics, and the "ChiniChitrashala," which is well-known for its blue and white ceramics. Your next stops will be Manak Chowk, a wonderful place that hosts a high-tech light and sound extravaganza every evening and the man-made Fateh Sagar Lake, which is surrounded by picturesque hills and forests.

Visit Lake Pichola at sunset and enjoy a boat ride for a captivating view of the lake and the City Palace. A trip to the Folk Art Museum is essential if you're an art fan. After touring the city's local markets, return to the hotel for dinner and the night.
