Itinerary

A representative from our India Wonderland will greet you warmly at the Cochin International Airport to start your 5-night, 6-day Kerala Ayurveda Backwaters Tour Packages. You’ll be taken to the hotel thereafter. Once you arrive, check into the hotel and take a rest. You are free to do leisurely activities in the evening.   Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Have your breakfast and get ready for a guided tour of the city. Known as the "Queen of the Arabian Sea," Cochin (now Kochi) is distinguished by some of the best natural harbors in the Arabian Sea, which are found all along the coast. After serving as the hub of the global spice trade for several centuries, Cochin is now a growing metropolis and a melting pot of all cultures in Kerala.   The first stop on the tour will be Paradesi Synagogue. This stunning synagogue, also called the Jewish Synagogue, was built in the sixteenth century and is embellished with exquisite hand-painted Chinese tiles in shades of white and blue. Your next stop is the Dutch Palace, also called the Mattancherry Palace, a charming building with beautiful murals and an interesting collection of antiques and palanquins on display. Other places you'll visit include the Chinese Fishing Nets, and the oldest European church in India called St. Francis CSI Church at Fort Kochi. Thereafter visit Hill Palace, the former official palace of the Cochin Maharaja and home to Kerala's largest archaeological museum, and the Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica at Fort Kochi. After that, stop by Marine Drive. Head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed towards Kumarakom. Kumarakom is a small village that lies on the banks of Lake Vembanad, in the backwaters of Kerala. It is known for its abundant, lush scenic beauty and houseboat cruises along the village's canals.   After your arrival, check in to the pre-booked resort and relax. Later, partake in sightseeing in the area. Go bird-watching at the very popular Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which is home to many bird species, including cuckoos and Siberian storks. Also enjoy a visit to Pathiramanal Island, a haven for rare migratory birds, and the Bay Island Driftwood Museum, which has wooden sculptures on display.   You’re free to relax at your backwater resort in the evening. Have dinner and rest for the night at your resort.

The fourth day of your Kerala Ayurveda Backwaters Tour is going to be a relaxing one. Rejuvenate your fatigued mind, body, and soul with a special Ayurveda massage at the resort. You can also indulge yourself in yoga and meditation sessions, Ayurveda rejuvenation therapies, steam baths, and other specialized treatments. Later, you can visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and the local village.   Have a special yogic meal with immense nutritional value and rest overnight.

After breakfast, check out of the resort and proceed to embark on a houseboat ride to Alleppey, also known as Alappuzha. Alleppey is known as the 'Venice of the East' and is popular for its luxurious houseboat cruises through the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons.   It is going to be an overnight cruise. Enjoy the peaceful ambiance and placid backwaters of Alleppey. The Alleppey Backwaters are a unique stretch of backwaters that is famous around the world for its unparalleled beauty. During the journey, you will come across paddy fields, palm-fringed countryside, local markets, and backwater islands, and you can watch the day-to-day activities of the local people who live nearby. Do not miss spotting colorful avifauna. Devour the delicious Kerala meal cooked exclusively for you by our houseboat crew. Overnight stay on board the houseboat.

On the final day of your 5-night, 6-day Kerala Ayurveda Backwaters Tour Packages, check out of the houseboat following breakfast. You’ll then be transferred smoothly to the Cochin International Airport, from where you can catch your flight to your onward destination.
